Setup Guide

Follow these steps to install Aurums on your MetaTrader 5 terminal. The process takes about 5 minutes.

Requirements

  • MetaTrader 5 installed on Windows
  • Active Aurums subscription with valid licence key
  • Stable internet connection
  • MT5 account with your broker (demo or live)
1

Get Your Licence Key

After subscribing, log in to your Aurums dashboard. Your unique licence key is displayed on the main page. Click the copy button to copy it to your clipboard.

Keep your licence key private. Do not share it with others.

2

Download the Expert Advisor

Download the Aurums EA file from your dashboard. This is an .ex5 file that runs inside MetaTrader 5.

Make sure you download from your authenticated dashboard, not third-party sources.

3

Install the EA in MT5

Open MetaTrader 5. Go to File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts. Copy the downloaded .ex5 file into this folder. Restart MT5 or right-click in the Navigator panel and select Refresh.

The EA should now appear under Expert Advisors in your Navigator panel.

4

Enable Automated Trading

In MT5, go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors. Tick 'Allow automated trading' and 'Allow DLL imports'. Click OK to save.

Without these settings enabled, the EA cannot place trades.

5

Attach EA and Enter Licence Key

Drag the Aurums EA from the Navigator panel onto any chart. In the settings window that appears, paste your licence key into the 'LicenseKey' field. Click OK to activate.

The EA will validate your licence and connect to the signal source.

Troubleshooting

EA shows 'Invalid Licence'

Double-check that you copied the entire licence key without extra spaces. Ensure your subscription is active in your dashboard.

EA not appearing in Navigator

Make sure you placed the .ex5 file in the correct Experts folder. Try restarting MT5 completely.

Trades not executing

Verify automated trading is enabled in MT5 options. Check that the smiley face icon in the top-right of your chart is smiling, not frowning.

Connection errors

Check your internet connection. Ensure your firewall is not blocking MT5. Try restarting the EA.
